Client Details
Countrystyle Recycling Limited are a dynamic, privately owned resource management & waste recycling company. They have a track record of spotting opportunities, understanding the market and driving innovative solutions. They have a large fleet of vehicles collecting waste, across the UK, for processing at their depots in Kent & Cambridgeshire. This enables them to deliver a reliable service which reduces the impact on the environment from clients’ waste whilst creating cost-effective and reliable waste management outcome and a greener business acumen for their clients.
Overview
Overview
Countrystyle approached GCS Cabins to discuss their need for a weighbridge building to monitor the incoming waste to their site in Kent. The weighbridge was to be located outside the entrance to the head office in Kent and clearly would be one of the first things people would see as they entered the site. It was important therefore that the building was aesthetically pleasing and demonstrated the cleanliness and professionalism that is evident throughout the rest of the business.
Key Issues
Key Issues
The installation site was in a very busy part of the operation, with over 125 vehicles in and out of the depot every day. The weighbridge is also a particularly important part of this Company’s business and down time was out of the question given the damaging cost impact it would have on the business. This demanded a very quick turnaround even for a highly experienced GCS team. Countryside also had a limited budget for the project but were keen to find a Company able to deliver a great looking building but also accommodate their critical internal requirements which included quality welfare staff facilities including high spec kitchen and male & female toilets.
What GCS Did
What GCS Did
We liaised closely with George Moore & Becky Byrne at Countryside and designed, with their input, a bespoke portable building that met their specific requirements and created a building that was absolutely fit for purpose and met all their internal & external needs. The building was manufactured off-site within 8 weeks from point of order to delivery before delivery, installation, and utility connection on site.
Conscious of minimising the impact on the day-to-day operation GCS carefully planned the installation process to ensure installation was carried out in a time efficient manner and developed a quick & easy process allowing the site to remain functioning throughout. The plan worked perfectly and within 2 hours of the time the crane, transport and install team arrived the crane had gone leaving the building in situ for the install team to complete the job whilst the rest of the site proceeded unhindered, and the weighbridge operated normally.
Summary
Summary
Countrystyle now have a stunning portable building finished externally in Larch and Prisma that is absolutely perfect for their needs; planned, manufactured and delivered within 8 weeks and installed without any disruption to their operation and a valuable, aesthetically pleasing, environmentally friendly construction that perfectly complements the ethos of the Company and meets the needs of their staff.
