The team at Cherry Lane Garden Centre were keen to provide their staff with a comfortable space to ensure they had all the facilities available to enjoy their breaks in comfort. Space for the project was limited and a tight budget available. Research of the market for suitable suppliers brought them to GCS who were able to talk them through their options and provide critical technical advice on the restrictions posed by the limited access to the site.

Tight budget and limited access, as detailed above, called for an experienced supplier, who could cope with the difficult installation issue whilst providing best value for money. The garden centre is open to the public 7 days a week, making the delivery and installation of the building a clear safety risk that needed handling carefully firstly to remove any potential danger to the general public and of course ensure minimum disruption at the client’s very busy site.

GCS identified the client’s precise building requirements, then carried out a full site safety and installation inspection to identify all the challenges posed by the limited access and space inherent in the project. We were then able to identify the manufacturer that first could cope with the challenges and then meet the demanding budget. The installation date was critical, and GCS liaised closely with the team at Cherry Green to deliver the building when the site was closed to the public and could be delivered, installed and connected free of any client risk.

The staff at Cherry Green now have a brand-new welfare building designed to provide all they need to enjoy their breaks. Perfect for their needs inside and out and an attractive building aesthetically designed to match the garden centre surroundings finished in willow green plastisol. The whole project was managed to the client’s expectations and cemented a relationship with GCS that may well lead to the acquisition of additional buildings for their other sites where improved facilities are required.
