Overview

Overview

Andy had started his business in 2017 from its present site and inherited an on-site modular building as part of the land acquisition. However, Andy and his business partners were keen for their potential customers to discuss their purchases within the type of attractive, high-quality, aesthetically pleasing buildings GCS are noted for designing and supplying. A professional, appealing and welcoming building to reflect the quality of the high-class cars they were offering was considered visually important. However, budget was tight, and demands were high and finding the right supplier a tough find.

Key Issues

Key Issues

Along with a tight budget and demanding specification Andy and his colleagues were aware of the problem posed by the existing building and how to not only remove it without great expense but to also coincide this with the installation of the brand-new unit. A logistical issue was also identified in that a low bridge was located on the only access to the site and traditional transportation unsuitable. Finally, Andrew needed a number of staff to be available when the building was being delivered to ensure a smooth installation with all the contents of the old building transferred to the new unit without any drama.

What GCS Did

What GCS Did

Firstly, one of our Project Managers explained the massive choice available both inside and out in a GCS building and discussed the wide range of design options in flooring, external & internal materials, colours, lighting and layout. Andrew and his colleagues were encouraged to spend time to get the design specification just right and arrived at a design that suited the business ambience and ethos perfectly. A site survey identified the logistics issue with the low bridge and were able to use their connections to source transport capable of coping with the height of the bridge. They then worked with the client to identify a suitable delivery date that would accommodate all the conditions encountered by Andrew James Cars and coincided the delivery and install date at a time at which all the staff were available and arranged for the old building to be transported to an adjacent business to continue its life elsewhere.

Summary

Summary

Andrew James Cars now have a new purpose-built unit to accommodate all their staff and prospective clients in comfortable surroundings with plenty of space to complete their client negotiations and along with loads of office space they have a kitchen area to enable them to keep both staff and clients fully refreshed. All the guys at Andrew James Cars were a pleasure to deal with and they are now comfortable in a building built to their design that is thermally efficient, environmentally and eco-friendly, but additionally looks absolutely fantastic on-site and will last them for years to come.

From the first enquiry we felt that GCS could not do anymore to make sure the cabin was exactly as we wanted. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
