Overview

GCS were approached by Black Stone when a security gatehouse was needed for the prestigious Burrows Court residential redevelopment project in Nottinghamshire. The building was to accommodate security staff to monitor the site, direct visitors and ensure the security of the site. Given that it would be one of the first things visitors see when approaching the site, it needed to be visually appealing and positively represent its surroundings.

Key Issues

The client had a very tight schedule for us to work too,with installation required within a very narrow window. Additionally, we needed to match the brick slip colour to that of the walls and substation on site to ensure the building didn’t look out of place.

What GCS Did

GCS were able to track down a match for the Nottingham Red brick slip the customer had requested. Unfortunately the lead time on the perfect bricks impacted production and relied on the flexibility and can-do attitude GCS possess to ensure a happy ending with the deadline met and the unit delivered at the week-end to reduce potential disruption. Deadline met!

Summary

Burrows court residential development project have a striking and secure new cabin to complement the entrance to the redevelopment site. The building is fit for purpose, visually appealing and affordable.
