2 New Jack Leg buildings – A 16ft x 10ft split office facility and a 32ft x 10ft building with kitchen, toilet and office space.

Overview

Additional accommodation was becoming an urgent need at the Nottinghamshire site with extra office space and staff facilities necessary. Budget and admin issues created a challenge with this installation, compounded by Covid and its effects. However, GCS worked with Rob, our contact at Progress Rail, to overcome the problems.

Key Issues

What GCS Did

The delays incurred in placing the order for these buildings during a volatile period for sourcing the base materials – timber and steel, along with a simultaneous and significant surge in prices meant that GCS had to lean heavily on their strong supplier relationships and fully employ their negotiating skills to secure the 2 units at an acceptable price for Progress Rail. The order also came at a time when the needs of the NHS were impacting heavily across the Modular industry and pushing lead times out at an unprecedented rate. However, aware of the urgent need of the buildings and with some juggling of schedules GCS were able to have the buildings built, delivered, connected to the utilities and good to go all within 8 weeks.

Summary

Progress Rail now have all the space they need across 2 buildings including offices, toilets and kitchen facilities.
