Tennant’s needed to find a supplier to replace an on-site kitchen facility that had seen better days. The staff needed a comfortable and well-equipped area to enjoy their breaks, a space that provided all the facilities needed to provide a relaxing environment and a kitchen that offered all the equipment to cope with their catering requirements.

The installation was a straight-forward box-leg cabin design similar to hundreds supplied by GCS over the years with the only real issue being the need to avoid any disruption to what is, a very busy site. An issue that developed on installation was the need for the removal of the old unit, particularly as it stood on the site planned for the new unit! GCS would not normally offer a disposal service but were clearly able to arrange for a temporary re-siting followed by a prompt removal through their many transport contacts and the unit was installed on time and without any undue disruption and the old building removed and disposed of following the GCS environment-friendly guidelines.

GCS consulted with Tennant’s to ensure they fully understood exactly what they and their staff needed and then designed a unit absolutely fit for purpose and to their exact specification rather than offer a unit already built and hope it might do. We kept them updated with the construction process and agreed a suitable date on which disruption could be minimised and organised our delivery and installation team to anticipate a longer than usual delivery time to accommodate the moving of the unit. We then sent a team in to collect and dispose of the old unit and clear the site.

Tennant’s Distribution now have a staff kitchen facility inside a brand-new purpose-built building featuring all the units they thought they needed. In fact, they liked the units that much they have ordered more to further improve the facility.
