How to purchase a modular building
Acquiring a modular building either buying or renting, short-term or long term is a responsible project and can be fraught with potential problems, particularly for someone unaccustomed to the process.
It clearly makes sense to find a reliable industry expert to guide you.
There are, of course, many manufacturers out there all of whom will help you with the process and explain how it all works, however, their advice will be biased towards their own products, and they certainly won’t recommend a competitor!
The danger here of course is that you end up with a building that isn’t quite right for you but one that the manufacturer has “made do”.
Here at GCS, we work with many manufacturers all with different strengths, focussed on different sectors, some offering a basic value product, some dedicated to the construction industry, some who build for stock and rental fleets and others that will only build bespoke buildings.
It’s a bit like buying a vehicle for your business, do you want a car or a van, a luxury saloon or maybe something smaller like a Mini or maybe your needs are best met with a transit van, or will an estate car do? It all depends on your individual requirements and purpose.
It, therefore, clearly makes sense to discuss your project with a company with absolutely no bias other than to help you choose the product that is the very best it can be for your budget.
Our well-earned reputation and wide industry experience provide us with a depth of knowledge and understanding not only of the best manufacturer for your building but the know-how and expertise to manage the project on your behalf, making full use of our experience.
Our advice is completely free without any obligation and comes highly recommended by our clients – check out our testimonials on our website – www.gcscabins.co.uk
So where do you start and what is the process for buying a modular building?
Contact GCS:
The first step is a call to our Nottingham HQ where a helpful, friendly, experienced project manager will discuss your project with you to get a full understanding of how you intend to use the space, how you want it to look inside and out and explain all the options including size, shape, number of rooms, facilities, décor and security.
If you already have a plan, great, just send a copy over to the team member dealing with your enquiry. If not, don’t worry we can do that for you when we know what you require. We will also carry out a site survey where required to check there are no potential obstacles to your plans.
Project Cost:
Armed with all the information we will then identify the very best manufacturer based on suitability, cost and ability to meet any deadline. The total project cost will then be shared with you including, building, transport, and all other associated costs for your approval.
Place Order:
When, and only when, you are totally happy, and planning permission is received, we request an official order along with a deposit, which will be detailed in our project cost document. This will trigger a confirmed production slot and a delivery date will be advised. Production will take place in a custom-built unit benefitting from high-tech undercover factory facilities in an environment unaffected by delays from inclement weather! Safety, Waste & Quality Control disciplines are also so much easier to manage.
Installation:
As the delivery date approaches your project manager will organise the transport, crane operators, if required & installation team, liaising with all those involved and keeping you updated every step of the way. The site will have already been surveyed to identify any potential issues to ensure installation is not delayed. Then utilities will be connected, landscaping completed and you’re good to go and your project manager will hand over the keys.
Result:
You have the keys to a building perfect for your needs, sourced from the most suitable manufacturer, with the whole process managed and monitored by industry experts whose entire focus is on making every penny of your budget work. Your project manager will resolve any challenges or issues on your behalf and keep everything on track, on time and on budget.
